Overview

Ingalls Shipbuilding is seeking skilled Pipe Welders to join their team, responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on various materials in a dynamic shipyard environment. The company has a long history of supporting the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard by constructing a significant portion of their fleet.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).
• Work in a manufacturing setting that operates around the clock.
• Adapt to working at different heights and in confined spaces under various weather conditions.
• Follow safety procedures that meet or exceed industry standards.

Requirements

• Graduated from a pipe welder program at a vo-tech school or other training school.
• Training in TIG root and stick fill and cap on steel piping in the 6GR position.
