Overview

As a TIG Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for creating stainless steel equipment, machines, and components by reading blueprints and welding according to specifications. You will collaborate with engineers and other fabricators to ensure high-quality equipment that meets customer and industry standards while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specs to accurately plan and layout work to build machines and equipment.
• Measure, fit and weld stainless steel equipment and systems.
• Regularly inspect work to ensure quality, craftsmanship, and conformance to specs.
• Weld and fabricate components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Perform fabrication and welding work in confined spaces and/or elevated heights.
• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and scissor lifts.
• Ensure the highest level of employee safety, product quality, and teamwork.
• Follow company policies and procedures consistently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Technical diploma in welding or fabrication and/or equivalent work experience.
• Experience TIG welding on stainless steel.
• Able to accurately read blueprints and comprehend standard operating procedures.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure.
• Must be able to accurately measure using tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and organization skills.
• Capable of physical tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Able to perform manual material handling of items up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
