Overview

Ascentec Engineering is hiring a Tig Welder II/III responsible for TIG welding high purity Aluminum Semiconductor parts, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness in a machine shop environment. The position requires learning to operate CNC machines and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Create quality welds according to CAD prints.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy, robustness, and workmanship standards.
  • Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel/aluminum parts.
  • Change wire, tanks and maintain welding equipment as needed.
  • Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying, and moving of all finished products.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used safely.
  • Perform first piece inspections and subsequent inspections as required.
  • Perform simple maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
  • Ensure proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system.

Requirements

  • Strong preference for candidates with experience welding Semiconductor showerheads and pedestals components.
  • 4-5 years of Aluminum welding experience preferred.
  • Good mathematical ability and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Experience with a variety of metals (stainless steel, titanium, aluminum) is preferred.

Additional Information

  • Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Works in a machine shop environment.
  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
  • Applicant must pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to employment.
