Overview

Forterra is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their dynamic team, focusing on metalworking and fabrication techniques to produce high-quality components for various applications. The company is dedicated to transforming the battlefield through integrated autonomous networks that enhance operational capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machine shop equipment including HAAS CNC Mills, lathe, drill press, band saw, and more.
• Paint quality finishes on various materials.
• Use hand tools for dimensionally checking parts.
• Complete tasks using basic hand and power tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of machine shop or related experience.
• Experience in low quantity high diversity parts such as brackets and electrical enclosures.
• Experience TIG welding Aluminum.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and requirements.
• Creativity in fixturing parts for machining and welding.
• Familiarity with ISO Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
