Overview
At StandardAero, we use our ingenuity and know-how to find solutions for the simple to the most complex challenges in aviation. As a Welder I (TIG), you will operate various metal fabrication equipment and contribute to the production of aviation parts.
Responsibilities
- Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
- Participate in continuous improvement of processes
- Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
- Observe all applicable safety requirements
Requirements
- 3 months or more of TIG welding experience
- At least 6 months of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and basic welding process specifications under supervision
- Ability to sit or stand at least 50% of work shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
