Overview
Chart Industries is focused on the design and fabrication of cryogenic equipment, providing solutions across clean power, water, food, and industrial applications. The TIG Welder position involves fitting, joining, and fabricating metal materials while ensuring safety and production standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Fits, joins, fabricates, and assembles metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
- Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
- Works with thin wall piping.
- Promotes and supports safety and production.
- Maintains cleanliness of assigned work area.
- Completes and follows all safety procedures and policies.
- Performs other work as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Welder Training Program.
- Proficient in all positions with GTAW.
- Proficient in knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols.
- Proficient in welding best practices.
- Proficient in visual inspection.
- Must complete and pass a welding test.
- Ability to adhere to Company Standards and Values.
- Ability to meet expectations for attendance and performance.
- Ability to meet deadlines for assignments.
- Ability to interact personably with co-workers and associates.
