Overview

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution, seeking skilled and experienced Welders for 3rd shift positions. The welders will be responsible for working from shop drawings and adhering to ASME Code Safety Regulations while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts and tack and weld components into assemblies following production orders.
• Execute welds in accordance with company procedures and documents while meeting defined quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
• Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.

Requirements

• Level I: 1–3 years experience or commensurate education from trade school.
• Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified for welding of parts under pressure.
• Ability to read and apply WPS and read drawings.
• Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
• Methodical, organized, and precise.
• Proactive in proposing solutions.
• Ability to perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial setting with exposure to various conditions.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required for this position.
• MIG/TIG @ 6G preferred - minimum of 1 year of pipe welding experience.
• Level II: At least 3–5 years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
• Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.
• Level III: At least 5+ years’ experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels (certified experience).
• Ability to train other welders and teach others to read and apply WPS.

Additional Information

• Starting Pay: $28.00 per hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
• 3rd Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour.
• 3rd Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 7:30pm - 6am.
• Training Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Thursday.
