Overview
We are looking for a Maintenance Repair Tech to join our Grand Prairie, TX shot peening facility. This role is ideal for individuals with maintenance and fabrication experience who want to expand their knowledge in preventative maintenance and robotic machines.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Follow instructions and read blueprints.
- Safely work at heights.
- Use logical step-by-step procedures in work.
- Plan work and solve problems.
- Make decisions based on measurable information.
- Perform a variety of duties which may change often; and operate machinery.
- Repair pumps, large conveying augers, dust collectors, blast rooms.
- Assemble machinery and fasten them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools.
- May operate engine lathe or milling machine to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
Requirements
- Identify and resolve both electrical and mechanical issues.
- Experience conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic systems, specifically Yaskawa / Motoman.
- Skilled in the repair of variable frequency drives, human machine interface (HMI), servomotors and controllers, communication systems PLC input/output cards, and safety modules.
- Strong working knowledge of all operating systems in the plant including Allen Bradley (AB), B&R automation, Siemens.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment and general electrical maintenance of the building and grounds.
- Define requirements and lead overhaul efforts to rebuild equipment to like-new status during planned downtime.
