Overview

SKF is seeking a Marine Alignment Technician to perform alignment and on-site machining of marine and rotating equipment. The company is an industry leader in manufacturing bearings and solutions for rotating equipment, committed to sustainability and a culture of belonging.

Responsibilities

  • Execute mechanical services including alignment, chocking, and mounting.
  • Collect vibration data.
  • Understand basics of vibration data analysis and 3D measuring.
  • Prepare for work/projects and produce standard technical reports.
  • Track hour/material registration.
  • Follow SKF Code of Conduct, EHS, and Quality Policies.
  • Report EHS risks and incidents.
  • Maintain and improve working environment and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and SKF internal quality systems.

Requirements

  • General expertise of all rotating equipment and production processes.
  • General expertise of mechanical services.
  • Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and drawings.
  • 4+ years of experience in the marine sector.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical education is a plus.

Additional Information

  • Location: US Remote, Houston, TX or Houma, LA.
  • Extensive travel may be required, including outside of the US.
  • Employees may need to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
