Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all welding activities on assigned projects.
- Lead and manage a team of welders, providing guidance and training.
- Monitor and inspect welds to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Allocate and manage resources to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients for seamless project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including logs and reports.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts during the project.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in welding, with a strong background in industrial Sheetmetal.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in welding and safety (e.g., AWS, OSHA) are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and installation techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in varying heat and cold conditions with high noise levels.
