Overview
HYDRATIGHT by ENERPAC TOOL GROUP provides specialty mechanical services to global customers, ensuring productivity and asset safety through technical leadership and innovation. The company is seeking a skilled Field Machinist to perform on-site machining operations on large-scale equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site machining operations such as milling, line boring, flange facing, drilling, threading, and shaft turning.
- Prepare for job mobilization and demobilization including equipment lists and procedures.
- Set up and operate portable machine tools according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Inspect, diagnose, and determine machining requirements to rectify problems.
- Ensure accurate tolerances and measurements using precision instruments.
- Collaborate with engineers and field staff to ensure project success.
- Provide clear and accurate job documentation, including work reports.
- Travel frequently to client job sites, including offshore and international locations.
- Interface with clients in a professional manner.
- Complete and submit all job-related documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to company procedures in relation to quality management and safety.
- Manage expenses during travel and submit expense reports monthly.
- Use company email to communicate with clients.
- Carry out driving duties in accordance with company requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical/vocational training in machining or mechanical trades highly preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of field machining experience in industrial settings.
- Process Basic Plus and/or OSHA 10 certification.
- Active Nuclear clearance is preferred.
- Proficiency in portable machining equipment such as Climax, Mirage, or Hydratight.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license required; TWIC, OSHA, or offshore certifications are a plus.
- Ability to pass site-specific background and drug tests.
