Overview

HYDRATIGHT by ENERPAC TOOL GROUP provides specialty mechanical services to global customers, ensuring productivity and asset safety through technical leadership and innovation. The company is seeking a skilled Field Machinist to perform on-site machining operations on large-scale equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site machining operations such as milling, line boring, flange facing, drilling, threading, and shaft turning.
  • Prepare for job mobilization and demobilization including equipment lists and procedures.
  • Set up and operate portable machine tools according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and determine machining requirements to rectify problems.
  • Ensure accurate tolerances and measurements using precision instruments.
  • Collaborate with engineers and field staff to ensure project success.
  • Provide clear and accurate job documentation, including work reports.
  • Travel frequently to client job sites, including offshore and international locations.
  • Interface with clients in a professional manner.
  • Complete and submit all job-related documentation accurately and timely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Adhere to company procedures in relation to quality management and safety.
  • Manage expenses during travel and submit expense reports monthly.
  • Use company email to communicate with clients.
  • Carry out driving duties in accordance with company requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical/vocational training in machining or mechanical trades highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of field machining experience in industrial settings.
  • Process Basic Plus and/or OSHA 10 certification.
  • Active Nuclear clearance is preferred.
  • Proficiency in portable machining equipment such as Climax, Mirage, or Hydratight.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license required; TWIC, OSHA, or offshore certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to pass site-specific background and drug tests.
