Overview
The Turbine Technician will be responsible for the assembly, disassembly, and inspection of Aero Derivative gas turbine engines, modules, components, or accessories according to technical specifications and standard work practices. Aero Alliance, a Joint Venture between Baker Hughes and GE Vernova, aims to deliver high-quality repair and execution strategies for its customers.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently route engine hardware, assemblies, and materials according to handling protocols.
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas turbine engines and components to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document and report discrepancies identified during inspections using service manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of turbine assembly, disassembly, or repairs per QMS guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and address in-process problems or component failures.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and tools to perform assigned tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and compliance measures.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace to prevent FOD incidents.
- Collaborate independently and within teams to support continuous improvement.
- Be flexible to work additional hours as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Gas Turbine or Aircraft Engine Services.
- Proficiency in reading and communicating in English.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using various hand tools and precision instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret service repair manuals and technical publications.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
