At GT’s Living Foods, we’re a community passionate about creating a healthier, happier world. The Can Line Mechanic is responsible for performing advanced mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing on high-speed canning line equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing on high-speed canning line equipment.
- Execute equipment setups, changeovers, and precision adjustments to ensure seamer integrity, fill accuracy, and overall packaging quality.
- Complete preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with OEM and plant standards.
- Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document work orders and maintenance activities within the CMMS.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Controls teams.
- Assist with equipment rebuilds, overhauls, installations, and can line startups.
- Adhere to safety standards, GMP requirements, and food manufacturing compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing maintenance preferably within food or beverage.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Double-seam certification or formal seamer training.
- Experience supporting can line startups and commissioning activities.
- Working knowledge of PLC and VFD.
- Welding and machinery experience.
