Overview

Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking a Kitchen Mechanic to join their Engineering Department. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems and appliances throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigerators, ice machines, and freezers.
• Repair, install, and service stoves, refrigerators, dishwashing machines, and other electrical appliances as needed.
• Assist in making recommendations on alternative solutions for repair or purchase.
• Lay out reference points for installation of components using measuring instruments.
• Examine appliances during operating cycles to detect issues.
• Replace worn or defective parts such as switches, pumps, and wiring.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot package units and compressors.
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components using testing equipment.
• Maintain kitchen hoods and exhaust systems.
• Perform general maintenance duties as needed.
• Ensure proper and economical use of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a safe work area.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff members.
• Communicate clearly with team members.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in A/C and refrigeration and HVAC required.
• EPA license required.
• Two to five years of experience in a maintenance or mechanical repair role, ideally in commercial kitchens.
• Experience working with tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and bending.

Additional Information

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Available for full-time work including weekends and evenings.
• Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
