Overview
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Assembler to join their global team dedicated to building stronger, sustainable communities. The role involves assembling and installing various prefabricated parts and ensuring quality through functional checks.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, assemble and install prefabricated sheet, tubular, machined, mechanical, and formed parts.
- Prepare mixtures of braze alloys and adhesives for furnace brazing.
- Perform complete setup for any cell size and operate core fabricating machines.
- Hand finish machined parts and assemblies to close tolerances.
- Operate material pouring equipment and processing equipment like degreasers and ovens.
- Identify materials, parts, and assemblies as required.
- Prepare surfaces of parts and assemblies prior to painting.
- Operate on-line, computer-aided x-ray equipment.
- Load, unload, and operate fuel control test fixtures.
- Verify and record data from the testing process.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Willing to work any shift.
- Experience using hand tools and/or power tools is preferred.
