Overview
At IPG, a global leader in packaging and protective solutions, we are looking for an Electrical Assembler to join our community that values safety, integrity, and teamwork. This role involves assembling electrical components, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-quality products for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components according to schematics.
- Travel to customer sites for installations, repairs, and safety improvements.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
- Work closely with other departments to set priorities and communicate progress.
- Follow established quality, safety, health, and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all functionality and appearance expectations of projects are met.
- Assemble, build, and wire according to UL and NEC standards.
- Print labels and tag all wires, cables, devices, and equipment neatly.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Formal electrical training or on-the-job experience in the electrical field.
- Familiarity with NEC, UL, and/or CSA codes preferred.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of specific packaging equipment components is a plus.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to use a computer to print wire labels.
- Employees must provide their own basic set of hand tools.
- Familiarity with machine shop equipment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills of electrical control systems.
- Proficient in metric systems.
- Must be a self-starter and team player.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Must be organized, creative, results-oriented, and attentive to detail.
- Exhibits continuous improvement.

- This position requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping for long periods.
- Frequent lifting and moving of objects up to 50lbs.
