Overview

As a Building Mechanic at GSK, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and installing equipment within a GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role offers opportunities for career progression through key responsibilities in equipment management and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair steam boilers and related equipment.
• Operate, maintain, and repair chilled water systems.
• Operate, maintain, and repair high purity water systems.
• Operate, maintain, and repair direct expansion air conditioning or refrigeration systems.
• Operate, maintain, and repair building control devices.
• Operate, maintain, and repair ventilation equipment.
• Operate, maintain, and repair compressed air systems.
• Inspect, replace, align, adjust, and lubricate mechanical system components.
• Observe and record equipment operating conditions.
• Safely perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on utility equipment and systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering or maintaining industrial process or utility equipment.
• Experience working within cGMP’s, regulatory guidelines, governmental codes, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Skills and knowledge to serve as a resource to less experienced employees.
