Versant Health is a leading administrator of managed vision care, dedicated to helping members enjoy healthy eyes and vision. The Lab Mechanic position involves maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal operation in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist and monitor equipment process parameters for predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Enter data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring timely orders.
- Operate computers and maintenance diagnostic equipment.
- Diagnose failures and perform repairs on production equipment.
- Communicate and escalate equipment issues with peers and management.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, workstations, and the facility.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Comply with Quality Management System (QMS) and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of related work experience.
- Basic understanding of mechanical drawings, wire diagrams, and schematics.
- Experience operating facility equipment to fabricate, cut, and repair machine parts.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
- Basic understanding of electronic control panels and related systems.
- Basic knowledge of precision alignment and measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and correspondence.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and PPE compliance.

Additional Information
- Work schedule is Wednesday to Saturday, 5am to 3:30pm.
- Hourly rate is $23.20.
