Overview

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure the quality of electronic and mechanical components through visual inspection and the use of calibrated tools. The role involves working with various measuring devices and collaborating across functions to maintain high standards of quality in the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems.
  • Use calibrated inspection tools and equipment to identify defects.
  • Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
  • Work from blueprints, diagrams, and inspection instructions.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with electronic and/or mechanical components.
  • Ability to use calibrated inspection tools and equipment.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Associate Degree (preferred).
  • Knowledge of nonconformance reporting.
  • Familiarity with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • SAP proficiency.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO9001, and MIL-STD-882.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain.

Additional Information

  • Ability to work remotely.
  • Onsite Full-time position at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
