The Welding Auditor role involves evaluating suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, including onsite inspections and continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Surveil and evaluate suppliers for compliance with quality standards.
• Manage, review, and close supplier corrective requests.
• Prepare and complete audit reports and communicate findings to teams and suppliers.
• Verify that welding materials and equipment conform to specifications.
• Record and maintain inspection test data.
• Review supplier change notifications and assess their impact.
• Interface with suppliers to ensure product compliance.
• Develop measurement techniques for product release.
• Support manufacturing areas and monitor quality metrics.
• Assist in corrective and preventive action investigations.
• Review incoming supplies for defects and ensure quality.
• Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality.
• Serve as a liaison between management, clients, and vendors.
• Interpret work instructions and drawings.

Requirements

• Ability to work 50+ hours a week.
• High School Diploma/GED Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years as a Welding Inspector or 5 years of welding experience.
• Ability to identify proper welding materials, equipment, and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
• Experience in guiding the implementation of a strategic plan.
• Basic understanding of electricity and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and follow company procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to work independently or in a group.
• Strong commitment to personal and team safety.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Additional Information

• Work will be on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours.
• Rates will be based on experience and current certifications.
