Overview

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking a welder for an ongoing maintenance job in Franklinton, NC. The company provides industrial mechanical, electrical, and civil construction services, specializing in maintenance for various industries including fossil and nuclear power, pulp and paper, and chemical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems and pipe supports.
• Weld structural steel to repair damaged structures.
• Perform maintenance on existing metal frameworks.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Possess a complete set of tools appropriate for industrial pipe fitting/welding.
• Ability to stoop, bend, and manipulate tools in small spaces.
• Perform work at heights.
• Frequently lift and/or move varied objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Perform and pass pipe coupon weld test.
• At least 4 years of welding experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
