Overview
The Welding Team Lead oversees production operations, leading a team of welding personnel to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes while promoting customer satisfaction and achieving company goals.
Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to maintain a productive work environment.
- Coach team members on operational processes, safety protocols, and equipment use.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
- Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and personnel-related issues.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and address performance issues.
- Oversee daily production activities and assign tasks to team members.
- Serve as a communication channel for production meetings and feedback.
- Ensure production areas are clean, organized, and properly staged.
- Streamline operations using data to reduce downtime and waste.
- Monitor quality and enforce standards to minimize defects.
- Assist with technical aspects of complex projects.
- Verify that all parts meet quality standards.
- Perform root cause analysis for problems.
- Address and resolve minor operational and equipment issues.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing role, minimum of 12 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in primary responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing blueprints.
- Team player with a positive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent leadership, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Good attitude, hands-on, organized, dedicated, and dependable.
- Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Excel and Word.

- Full-time position: Monday-Thursday 6am-3:30pm, Friday 6am-10am.
