Overview

The Pipefitter - Construction role involves installing and repairing industrial piping systems, reading blueprints, and supervising plumbing helpers. Candidates should have relevant experience and knowledge of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install industrial piping systems: chill water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water.
• Read blueprints and submittals.
• Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines.
• Work independently and problem solve.
• Repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping.
• Instruct plumbing helpers under your supervision.
• Practice all safety procedures.
• Hold license to operate equipment necessary for the role.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• Rigging knowledge preferred.
• 5 years pipefitter experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pipefitter equipment, power tools, and fabrication methods.
• Knowledge of different types of pipe, valves, fittings, and their functions.
• General knowledge of code requirements and limitations.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards, including ladders.
