Overview

At Blue Origin, we are committed to developing reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. The Welder Sr. – Vacuum Jacketed Line Pipe Welder position is crucial for fabricating and welding hardware for spaceflight systems, ensuring safety and quality in operations.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld hardware for various spaceflight systems using TIG welding techniques.
• Ensure compliance with ASME B31.3 standards in welding processes.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement and refine manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to safety, quality, and productivity in the welding operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 10+ years of GTAW welding experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Experience in stainless steel cryogenic installations, familiar with 2G, 5G, and 6G positions.
• Ability to fabricate and use large cutting saws, punches, formers, brakes, and standard hand tools.
• Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
• Ability to travel up to 20% supporting vendor and Blue Origin test facilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.

Additional Information

• Location: Merritt Island, Florida 32953.
• Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Work 1st or 2nd shift, as well as weekends and overtime, when necessary.
