Overview

Paramount Extrusions Company is a high-end aluminum extrusion specialist known for precision and customer success. They are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Mechanic to ensure the reliable operation of hydraulic systems in their manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic systems to identify and prevent potential issues.
  • Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose faults.
  • Employ diagnostic equipment to test hydraulic system performance.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance including fluid changes and filter replacements.
  • Repair or replace faulty hydraulic components such as pumps and valves.
  • Detect and resolve leaks to prevent fluid loss.
  • Calibrate hydraulic instruments and gauges for accurate readings.
  • Respond to emergency repair calls and conduct on-site troubleshooting.
  • Install new hydraulic systems and components per engineering specifications.
  • Test repaired or newly installed systems for optimal performance.
  • Operate hydraulic systems to adjust pressure and flow parameters.
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
  • Assist in establishing maintenance schedules for hydraulic systems.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and order supplies proactively.
  • Maintain complete records of all maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety policies.
  • Attend safety meetings and contribute to safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve system design.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians on hydraulic maintenance methods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or associate degree in hydraulics preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in hydraulic systems maintenance.
  • Deep knowledge of hydraulic principles and system components.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and hydraulic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
  • Basic welding and fabrication experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex hydraulic issues.
  • Effective communication skills for explaining technical issues.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
