Overview
Paramount Extrusions Company is a high-end aluminum extrusion specialist known for precision and customer success. They are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Mechanic to ensure the reliable operation of hydraulic systems in their manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic systems to identify and prevent potential issues.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose faults.
- Employ diagnostic equipment to test hydraulic system performance.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance including fluid changes and filter replacements.
- Repair or replace faulty hydraulic components such as pumps and valves.
- Detect and resolve leaks to prevent fluid loss.
- Calibrate hydraulic instruments and gauges for accurate readings.
- Respond to emergency repair calls and conduct on-site troubleshooting.
- Install new hydraulic systems and components per engineering specifications.
- Test repaired or newly installed systems for optimal performance.
- Operate hydraulic systems to adjust pressure and flow parameters.
- Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist in establishing maintenance schedules for hydraulic systems.
- Manage spare parts inventory and order supplies proactively.
- Maintain complete records of all maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety policies.
- Attend safety meetings and contribute to safety procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve system design.
- Mentor and train junior technicians on hydraulic maintenance methods.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or associate degree in hydraulics preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in hydraulic systems maintenance.
- Deep knowledge of hydraulic principles and system components.
- Proficiency with hand tools and hydraulic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
- Basic welding and fabrication experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex hydraulic issues.
- Effective communication skills for explaining technical issues.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
