Overview

The 3rd Shift Structural Fabricator operates fabricating machines to create structural steel products used in industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and bend metal.
• Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Position workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Detect workpiece defects and machine malfunctions.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpiece.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, die, or workpieces.
• Comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
• Ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of standard and metric measurements.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Team orientation.
• LOTO certification required.
• Crane operation certification required.
• Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
• Availability to work on Saturdays as needed.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
