Overview
Austin Industrial is a leading provider of self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to industrial companies across the U.S. The Pipefitter Foreman will supervise and coordinate workers on construction projects involving pipe systems and related equipment, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Supervise skilled and semi-skilled hourly employee-owners.
- Manage a small amount of onsite equipment fleet.
- Recruit hourly trade personnel.
- Execute 'Look Ahead' schedules.
- Manage craftsmen, equipment, and material resources.
- Plan logistics and execute project Work Plans.
- Ensure work crews are productive and meet daily cost objectives.
- Conduct training and purchasing of materials, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain a safe workplace and quality of work.
- Review contract documents and determine manpower requirements.
- Monitor daily labor costs and production rates.
- Encourage craftsmen to develop innovative methods for efficiency.
- Provide detailed construction plans and manage scheduling of inspections.
- Inspect work in progress and ensure compliance with standards.
- Foster a motivating atmosphere and promote training for subordinates.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety regulations.
- Investigate alternative work methods and ensure compliance with plans.
- Maintain detailed daily reports of field construction activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Industrial and Supervisory experience preferred.
- NCCER certification.
- Valid TWIC Card.
- Valid Driver's License.
