Overview
Epiroc is a global productivity partner for mining and construction customers, focusing on innovative and safe equipment development. The Assembler Welder role involves welding components, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality in assembly processes.
Responsibilities
- Weld components using blueprints.
- Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, or other specifications.
- Install and connect hydraulic controls, pumps, rams, and other system elements.
- Mount, hook-up and connect engines, gear boxes, axles and other power components.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the assembly area.
- Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to the Supervisor.
- Select materials and processes to be applied.
- Set up and adjust equipment.
- Weld in vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead positions.
- Brazes, flame-cuts, beads, heat treats, pressure, and tack welds.
- Use hand and power tools of the welding trade.
- Use templates for measuring, marking, scribing, and cutting when necessary.
- Follow prescribed safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain work-related records and reports.
- Train new hires.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts.
- Return leftover parts to Warehouse.
- Chase parts and fill in necessary paperwork.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Must pass the welding test.
- Two years minimum as a welder preferred.
- Must have training in reading blueprints.
- Required to read, write and comprehend English.
- Knowledge of all mechanical components on the rig and their ideal operation.
- Familiar with handling welding and assembly tools.
- Basic understanding of troubleshooting principles.
- Knowledge of MFG Pro preferred.

- Work Type: Onsite
- Shift Timings: Monday – Friday, 7:30AM – 4:00 PM
- Some exposure to dirt, oil, and other shop elements.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
