Overview

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is looking for a Field Inspector - Third Class in Willow Grove. The role involves working in various capacities to ensure reliable water and wastewater services while contributing to environmental protection and community support.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and ensure compliance with construction standards.
• Read and interpret construction drawings.
• Transfer field notes to finished plans and complete material inventory.
• Coordinate daily work duties with contract construction crews.
• Communicate project status to department supervisors.
• Process department forms such as tap slips and material orders.
• Operate pipe and box locators.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with company territory is required.
• Availability for overtime is necessary.
• Math skills related to construction functions are needed.
• Drafting skills are required.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and vendors.
• Proficiency in using computer programs including AIMS, E-Mail, GIS, and tablets.

Additional Information

• The rate of pay is $39.54/hr.
• Employees hired after December 15, 2022, will receive a wage reduction that will be returned in annual increments.
• A written and field exam may be given.
• Applicants can access their personnel file once during the five-day posting period.
