Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of various mechanical equipment. The role requires a basic understanding of natural gas characteristics and safety policies, as well as proficiency in using various tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate, install, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment including engines, compressors, and pumps.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper function of mechanical equipment.
- Fill out work/hot work permits and lockout/tagout documentation.
- Attend and participate in tailgate sessions with work site teams.
- Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Work safely using proper tools and environmental precautions.
- Maintain effective communication with co-workers and vendors.
- Utilize precision tools such as hydraulic torque wrenches and micrometers.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Interpersonal communication skills to interface with teams and vendors.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50lbs.
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
- Ability to work in close quarters and various physical positions.
- Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
