Overview

Black Label Services (BLS) is a leader in well-site automation and has expanded into Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), biogas, and water treatment facility markets. The Structural Welder position involves the fabrication and assembly of buildings with a focus on precision, strength, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Lay out, fit, or connect parts to be welded, calculating production measurements as necessary.
• Set up and operate welding machines to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
• Troubleshoot welding equipment problems.
• Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to weld fabricated metal components according to design and specifications.
• Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring and testing devices.
• Work with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform other shop duties such as cutting, assembly, or kitting when needed.
• Ensure safety, quality, and production processes are followed; use required PPE and safely operate welding machines and tools.
• Ensure that all cleaning and maintenance schedules are completed and maintained to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
• Be willing to cross train and assist in other shop functions as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to pass 3g fcaw test.
• Ability to pass 3g gmaw test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school certificate in welding is a plus.
• Minimum of one year preferred experience.
