Overview
Holtec International, a global supplier of heat transfer equipment for various energy sectors, is seeking experienced Welders proficient in FCAW and GTAW to support the fabrication of critical components. The company prioritizes the health and safety of its employees and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality welds on carbon steel and stainless steel using FCAW and GTAW.
- Set up and operate automatic, semi-automatic, and manual welding equipment.
- Follow technical drawings and specifications to meet quality standards.
- Prepare, position, align, and fit materials for welding based on engineering drawings.
- Execute welding operations in all required positions.
- Use measurement tools and layout techniques to confirm part dimensions.
- Visually inspect welds for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Safely handle materials using overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of welding experience in a heavy plate manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to perform and pass FCAW weld tests in 2G and 3G positions.
- Demonstrated proficiency with FCAW and GTAW on carbon and stainless steel.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of AWS standards and industry best practices.
Additional Information
- Location: East Pittsburgh, PA; Holtec Manufacturing Division.
- Must pass pre-employment weld tests.
- May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends, or travel based on production needs.
