Responsibilities

• Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition
• Follow all company safety and quality requirements
• Master all aspects of level 1 position
• Be qualified in welding disciplines required for the facility
• Work on semi-routine assignments with minimal supervision
• Show initiative to recognize areas of opportunity within current standard procedures
• Maintain technical qualifications required for positions
• Ensure prompt and dependable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of welding experience preferred
• Exhibit knowledge of material identification and equipment utilization
• Fit and weld subassemblies into final position with flat or horizontal welds
• Accurately measure to specified tolerances
• Perform flat and horizontal welding
• Possess advanced knowledge of weld symbols
• Have basic oxy fuel and/or carbon arcing skills
• Be able to final inspect welds
• Perform basic layouts
• Understand and follow oral and written directions
• Read a tape measure (imperial and metric)
• Work effectively with others
• Work safely and accurately
• Accept responsibility and account for actions
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Be truthful and credible in the workplace
• Make decisions or take actions to solve problems or reach goals
• Demonstrate dependability and trustworthiness

• Night shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 pm - 4:30 am
• Fridays additional OT as required
