Overview

The AWS Certified Welding Supervisor will oversee weld quality and ensure compliance with production standards while working to improve welding processes. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments and supervision of welders in a metal manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee weld quality, materials, equipment, and machine settings to ensure compliance with drawings and production standards.
  • Design fixtures, jigs, and process improvements to resolve welding issues and boost efficiency.
  • Work with multiple departments to ensure timely access to materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Report personnel, equipment, process, and fabrication concerns to the Production Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising 4+ welders in a metal manufacturing environment.
  • AWS (American Welding Society) Certification Required.
  • Clear English reading, writing, and speaking; Spanish bilingual ability preferred.
  • Energetic self-starter with strong computer skills, organizational ability, and openness to change; SolidWorks familiarity is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills; able to manage multiple tasks and understand MIG, TIG, robotic welding, grinding, and related processes.
  • Skilled in reading blueprints and weld symbols with solid knowledge of sheet-metal gauges, alloys, and welding techniques.
