Responsibilities

• Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties.
• Work in other crafts as requested by project supervision.
• Take direction from higher skilled workers or foreman.
• Utilize effective math skills for basic calculations.
• Eliminate waste in processes and materials.
• Ask a supervisor about safety practices if unsure.
• Learn and understand safety hazards related to the work.
• Safely use work-related tools and equipment.
• Seek opportunities for improvement in tasks and methods.
• Maintain positive working relationships with crew members.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively.
• Provide feedback to ensure availability of materials and tools.

Requirements

• NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience for level I, two years for level II, and three plus years in the construction industry preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
