Overview
The Assembly Operator assembles flexible and semi-rigid RF cables to engineering specifications, soldering and welding connectors according to customer requirements. Times Microwave Manufacturing provides a clean and quiet environment for assembling high-quality RF cables for military, aerospace, and space applications.
Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets engineering documents
- Follows work instructions to produce flexible and semi-rigid cables per customer requirements
- Works with Engineers to problem solve production issues
- Preps cables to prepare for assembly
- Solders or welds connectors to cables
- Measures and bends specialty cables to specific dimensions
- Completes required documentation
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience manufacturing cable or cable assemblies, preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Ability to read micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Welding or soldering experience, preferred
- Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals
- Ability to work effectively with small hand tools and microscopes
