Overview

Davis Wire Corporation, the largest wire manufacturer in the western United States, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Irwindale, California. The role involves repairing, overhauling, and installing machinery and equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Completes building, re-building, repair, overhaul, installation and/or removal of machinery and equipment.
• Machining and fitting to close tolerances with speed and accuracy.
• Cooperates with machine operators and skilled tradesmen.
• Diagnoses trouble with machines and makes new parts.
• Reads and interprets blueprints/sketches and creates sketches for new parts.
• Operates machine tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools.
• Maintains required housekeeping of work area and observes all safety rules.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a maintenance mechanic role.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is a major plus.
• Strong background in troubleshooting and repairing motors and gearboxes.
• Demonstrable competence working with power tools, presses, and other industrial equipment.
• Experience as a welder is a plus.
• Certifications are desirable, but not required.
