Job Description

Overview

The Structural Welder will create frames for large structures, setting up equipment and welding pipe, plate, or structural steel using various welding techniques. The role requires producing quality work efficiently while adhering to safety standards and obtaining necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Cut and drill structural metal pieces to size and place into position for welding
  • Ensure welds are well executed and meet safety and industry standards
  • Perform simple piping installations and repairs
  • Assist other mechanics/craft workers as needed

Requirements

  • Must be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms and legs
  • Must have hand/eye coordination
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to safely perform work
  • Position may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing/pulling, or standing and lifting
  • Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces and work in confined spaces
  • Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions
