Overview

Eads Cooling Solutions is seeking an experienced Welder for a stable and rewarding opportunity, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service. This role is essential for ensuring precise and durable welds that meet customer and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to identify specific welding requirements.
• Set up and operate welding machines, adjusting settings as specified for the job.
• Inspect welding machines, cables, and all associated equipment for functionality and safety.
• Determine the appropriate welding technique, position, and jig based on specifications.
• Guide the electrode or welding gun along the designated weld line to achieve quality welds.
• Select and implement the most efficient welding process for materials in various situations.
• Examine completed welds for defects and recommend or perform necessary repairs.
• Clean and grind excess weld, slag, and splatter for smooth finishes.
• Clean, grind, or degrease parts to meet quality standards.
• Safely operate manlifts and cranes for material handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a welder required.
• Must successfully pass any applicable welding tests as required by company standards.
• Familiarity with and adherence to AWS D1.1 welding standards.
• Adheres to all safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace.
• Proficient in using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance with high-quality workmanship.
• Highly detail-oriented and able to follow work instructions precisely.
• Strong ability to collaborate with the team and resolve welding issues.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise welding work.
• Capable of frequent physical activity including various movements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
