Overview

The Structural Steel FCAW Welder/Fabricator position in Cocoa, FL, involves welding and fabricating structural steel components while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role requires experience in Flux Core welding and operation of overhead cranes, with a focus on teamwork and maintaining certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lay out and weld structural members following drawings and weld symbols.
• Maintain required certifications and keep welder qualifications current per AWS.
• Perform visual inspections to verify weld quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Operate overhead cranes, air arc tools, grinders, magnetic drills, and related equipment safely.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure quality control and complete, on-time work.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Keep your area organized; handle scrap and production clean-up.
• Complete basic equipment care and routine maintenance.

Requirements

• Experience aligned with AWS D1.1 (2G/3G) and the willingness to keep learning.
• 2+ years of steel fabrication experience.
• Overhead crane operation experience.
• Demonstrated Flux Core welding background.
• 2G/3G certification preferred.
• Ability to pass an AWS-standard weld test.
• Schedule flexibility, including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
