Overview

We are hiring a Structural Fitter to join our team in Terrell, TX. Employees will undergo training and shadowing before passing an in-house weld test to begin fitting structural products.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural steel blueprints and drawings
• Measure, clamp, fit, and tack weld structural steel components together
• Build structural assemblies using flanges, webbing, fitting clips, stiffeners, and connection plates
• Ensure all parts are fit accurately before welding
• Assist welding pits with production MIG welding when fitting work is caught up

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
• Previous fitting, fabrication, or structural steel experience preferred
• MIG welding experience preferred
• Ability to use a cutting torch and arc gouge
• Pass a 1G and 2G weld test with multiple tries
