Overview
We are a group of scientists, engineers, designers, technicians, and many others dedicated to developing medical isotopes to treat and eradicate cancer. The Welder/Fabricator position involves working with various metals to create desired shapes or objects through fabrication and welding.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate all related welding equipment.
- Produce and verify parts as outlined in procedures and work instructions.
- Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Perform TIG, MIG, and ARC welding processes with various metals.
- Follow and maintain welding procedure specifications.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Safely move components and assemblies with forklift or overhead crane.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years on-the-job experience or an Associates degree/technical school with 2+ years on-the-job experience.
- Ability to perform structurally sound and top quality MIG welds in various positions.
- Experience with MIG welding is a plus.
- Experience with breaks, shears, drill press, manual lathe, and manual Bridgeport's is highly preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional technology skills and adaptability to new products.
- Basic knowledge of ISO.
Additional Information
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds required.
- Will work while standing, sitting, squatting, and lifting throughout the day.
