Overview

As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding, positioning, aligning, and fitting miscellaneous steel components according to technical drawings and blueprints, ensuring that they meet design specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Weld, position, align, and fit miscellaneous steel components.
  • Ensure components meet design specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic metalworking machinery.
  • Knowledge of shop machines and sand tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of fabrication processes such as cutting, grinding, and drilling.
  • Proficient in welding flux core and/or hard wire.
  • Knowledge of basic weld symbols and drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment and their settings.
  • D1.1 certified in flux core and hard wire for Welder 2.
  • Advanced knowledge of weld symbols and ability to troubleshoot welding equipment.
  • Ability to train lower level welders and perform quality checks on welds for Welder 3.
  • Ability to weld multiple material types and perform corrective actions.
