Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Welder to join our team and support fabrication, repair, and maintenance work across a variety of projects. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the physical capability to work in demanding environments.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and procedures.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications, including cutting materials with powered saws.
- Operate angle grinders and other prep tools.
- Select appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements.
- Align and clamp components using calipers, rulers, and related tools.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
- Repair machinery and structural components by welding and filling gaps.
- Inspect and test welded surfaces to identify defects.
- Maintain welding equipment in safe, reliable condition.
- Correctly rig and hoist materials.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Stand, walk, kneel, climb, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and meet productivity standards.
- Work long and varied hours (50–70 hours per week).
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Experience with TIG, MMA, and other welding procedures.
- Skilled in using electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to tolerate heights and maintain balance.
- Ability to work in confined spaces (Confined Space & OSHA certifications preferred).
