Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic position encompasses various roles such as Maintenance Tech, plant harvest and fab mechanics, welders, electricians, and maintenance for yard and truck shop. The primary goal is to ensure that the plant and its equipment operate efficiently to prevent downtime.

Responsibilities

• May operate heavy machinery.
• Use a variety of tools to repair, retrieve, and maintain all equipment in working order.
• Conduct daily set-up of area and troubleshoot.
• Work around or with machinery and power sources such as electricity.
• Ensure safety, food safety, and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate.
• Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance-related subjects.
• Must have a good stable work history.
• Willingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT.
• Must be able to work in different environments - cold, hot, wet, humid.
