Overview

The Fabricator position at MIRATECH involves producing components to meet internal and customer specifications. This role requires proficiency in various sheet metal fabrication techniques and the ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques such as shearing, rolling sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming metals.
• Prepare sheet metal for welding per specifications.
• Meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
• Interpret blueprints and written part requirements.
• Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
• Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
• Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
• Cut and shape metals to be prepped for the welders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 1 or more years of experience in a metal shop manufacturing environment.
• Proven decision making and analytical skills.
• Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
• Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

Additional Information

• Location: Prior Lake, Minnesota
• Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am with overtime as necessary.
