Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to support the custom building of skid-mounted pump systems for lift station applications. This role requires an experienced professional capable of producing strong, corrosion-resistant welds that meet safety, pressure, and applicable code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the custom building of skid-mounted pump systems.
• Produce strong, corrosion-resistant welds.
• Read and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and isometric drawings.
• Perform structural fabrication including cutting, fitting, aligning, and assembling metal frames.
• Weld and fit stainless steel and carbon steel piping, flanges, and valves.
• Use fabrication equipment and tools such as saws, press brakes, shears, grinders, and torches.
• Build to tolerances and work with heavy assemblies using cranes and forklifts.
• Perform custom fabrication work beyond production welding.

Requirements

• Proficiency in multiple welding processes.
• Ability to select and switch processes based on material type and welding position.
• Experience with structural fabrication and pipe welding.
• Knowledge of corrosion resistance, material selection, and weldability in moist and chemical environments.
• Experience with pump skids, booster systems, and lift stations.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Safety awareness including use of PPE and understanding of hot work and confined space practices.
• Physical stamina and strong hand-eye coordination.
• Problem-solving ability for custom builds.
• Effective communication skills with engineers and designers.
