The Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Fabrication supports fabrication and weld operations by optimizing processes and ensuring high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and improvement of fabrication equipment and processes.
• Write, revise, and maintain clear and accurate SOPs and work instructions for fabrication operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication efficiency and weld quality.
• Collaborate with various teams to identify and resolve fabrication process issues.
• Conduct time studies and process audits to support data-driven improvements.
• Train operators and welders on new or revised fabrication procedures.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Support compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of process changes and training activities.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical writing skills with experience creating SOPs and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical documents.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and welding/fabrication tooling.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
