Overview

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques.
• Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
• Cuts work piece using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife.
• Observes tests on welded surfaces to evaluate instruments.
• Removes rough spots from work piece using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proven MIG (.035 wire) experience required.
• No gaps in employment.
• No criminal background within the past 7 years.
• Must have your own welding PPE.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from job site.
• Applicant may be subject to a background check.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
