Responsibilities
- Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques.
- Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
- Cuts work piece using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife.
- Observes tests on welded surfaces to evaluate instruments.
- Removes rough spots from work piece using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
- Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Proven MIG (.035 wire) experience required.
- No gaps in employment.
- No criminal background within the past 7 years.
- Must have your own welding PPE.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job site.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check.
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
