Overview

The Robotic Welder Programmer position involves programming advanced robotic welders, optimizing production, and ensuring precision quality in a manufacturing-focused company in Decatur. The company emphasizes quality, efficiency, and dependable operations within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and implement robot programs for welding using Fanuc, Copilot or Panda Suite software.
  • Adjust welding parameters to maximize weld quality, consistency, and cycle times.
  • Coordinate front-end reach reviews, manage robot downloads, and assist with system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Create setup sheets, procedures, and technical documentation for robotic applications.
  • Inspect finished parts for adherence to blueprints, welding symbols, and customer specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on robotic cells and maintain records of programs and changes.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties.
  • Degree in Mechanical/Robotics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years in robotics and Mig welding applications.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Copilot or Panda Suite Software.
  • Successful completion of an internal welding test.
