Overview
The Robotic Welder Programmer position involves programming advanced robotic welders, optimizing production, and ensuring precision quality in a manufacturing-focused company in Decatur. The company emphasizes quality, efficiency, and dependable operations within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement robot programs for welding using Fanuc, Copilot or Panda Suite software.
- Adjust welding parameters to maximize weld quality, consistency, and cycle times.
- Coordinate front-end reach reviews, manage robot downloads, and assist with system integration and troubleshooting.
- Create setup sheets, procedures, and technical documentation for robotic applications.
- Inspect finished parts for adherence to blueprints, welding symbols, and customer specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance on robotic cells and maintain records of programs and changes.
Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties.
- Degree in Mechanical/Robotics Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years in robotics and Mig welding applications.
- Experience with Fanuc, Copilot or Panda Suite Software.
- Successful completion of an internal welding test.
